This is a compact smartphone for today's standards, with an elongated 2:1 form factor, which makes it easy to hold while still providing good screen "real estate". The downside of this narrow format is that movies are being displayed rather small with borders on the side.The fingerprint sensor is on the back of the phone, which is a space- saving arrangement and works all right, unless you tend to use the phone while it lays on the desk, say because you listen to podcasts, or use a wireless headset for calls, in which case it gets annoying having to pick it up to unlock. Speaking of headsets, there is NO PHONE JACK.The device is powered by an ARM 800- series cpu, which has a greater impact than I thought it would. It boots in like 10 seconds, apps start much faster, and the camera is much, much faster to acquire focus or read a bar code on MyFitnessPal, compared to my old Nexus.The camera is another highlight. The pictures come out tack sharp and with good color, and there is a dedicated camera button. Which at first I thought was silly, because a double- click on the power button will also normally bring up the camera on an Android, but having a dedicated button is better, especially since it end up being in the right place (top right) to take pictures.Sony has worked on some careful extras for the OS as well, the battery management is very thought out, and there are some themes that really do alter the look and feel, such as one theme that turns all icons into cool hexagons.All in all, an excellent phone with great camera, especially suit for people with smaller hands.

This has been a fantastic phone.Do yourself a solid and get yourself a GOOD case for it. I was really careful with it and then one day I dropped it on the kitchen tile and it cracked my screen. Still works, but a good case would have negated the damage.

Unlocked version works great on ATT.Had to set up using the ATT support "unlocked" settings.Left the Samsung S8 and family.. IMHO, this phone is superior.Very cool Sony offers a compact.

I researched a lot before buying this phone and I'm extremely happy with it. But... The flashlight is ABSOLUTELY USELESS. It's literally as bright as the fully lit screen, so I wouldn't even call it a flashlight. Every other aspect of the phone is pretty close to perfect but since I need a flashlight frequently, I was very disappointed and had to buy a small pocket flashlight.
