I can't say for sure that this phone is indestructible. I can say I've had it fall off the handlebars of my ebike at 40mph and get run over flip skitter across the road get run over again by a car this time with only a cheesy plastic vanity case for protection and survive. The setup takes some doing, the emergency button on mine is reprogrammed to flashlight for example, but once it's working it's a workhorse of a phone that I anticipate replacing for being outdated or stolen not for breaking.

Does not connect as well as my 5 year old Samsung, Android Auto drops, streaming is slow. Very durable phone but I will replace with Samsung.

This phone has done right by me I've dropped it plenty of times a couple of times I thought screen would be broke but it wasn't to my surprise I work in construction and have went through a couple of phones but this one I will have for a while it keeps dust out and has been muddy underwater and still works great with crazy durability and ease of use and is really fast all around great value if you drop phones and don't want to have to buy a case

When my three year old phone started to slow way down, my spouse's developed a fault, so we decided to get new phones.I'm a klutz. My spouse's favorite phone to date was the S7 Active. So, I asked the Internet what phone was closest to the no-longer available S7. It told me Nokia now made a smartphone that hearkened back to the bricks they used to make for durability. Sold.As usual, I ordered gorilla glass screen protectors for the phones when I ordered the phones. I needed have bothered. I broke two screen protectors the first week before dropping the phone while trying to out on the last one in the package. On contrete. Face down.The phone was fine.I have dropped it several times sinc then. Most recently, I dropped it in a bathroom hard enough that it skittered away and the popwallet came off the back. I picked it up with my heart in my mouth and...not so much as a scratch!It isn't an iPhone: the XR stands for extra rugged and it shows. The phone doesn't need screen protectors or a case, and its battery drains quickly if you are using it for games or keep a lot of apps open. On the other hand, it recharges quickly and it's respectably if not blisteringly fast.If you're looking to get a phone for a kid, teen or just a clumsy adult who doesn't need all the heels and whistles, this is the one!
