Phone was brand new. Works great! Shipping was a little slower than I expected since I had paid extra for FedEx ground.USPS somehow ended up with the package. For me FedEx is a lot faster service but that doesn't take away from my 5 star rating.
good phone
I've had this case for 5 or 6 months now. It fit my phone perfectly. It has a little slider to protect the camera, although I usually just leave it open. It has a nice stand that holds your phone up vertical or horizontal, great for videos. This case combined with a screen saver has protected my phone so far, and I've dropped it from my bed or nightstand onto a tile floor probably 10 times and my phone is fine. It's pretty slim too. So it doesn't add much bulk or weight to the phone. It all comes down to preference. If you like the look of it (it looks just like pictured) then you'll be satisfied with the case.
I bought this because my sleek, sweet, reliable Moto G6 was getting too old for some new versions of apps I needed. I also wanted 5G, which my Moto G6 didn't have, and a bright AMOLED screen. With this A35 I got the nice, bright screen and the 5G, but the A35 is so heavy! Every time I pick it up I am reminded that I didn't check the weight spec before I ordered it. I miss my sleek Moto G6. This A35 is also heavier than my spouse's Samsung S-something and heavier than my mother-in-law's Samsung phone. Well, that's my fault for not paying attention to the weight spec when I ordered this, right? I'm guessing the extra weight is due to a monster battery, so if you need battery life, maybe you don't mind the weight.Another thing I don't like about this phone is the Samsung One-UI. This user interface is so much "heavier" and "bulkier" than the simple user interface on my old Moto. It's like going from Windows 7 to Windows 11 in terms of lard. But if you're used to that Samsung interface, you'll take to this version of the Samsung One-UI pretty quickly.Oh, one more thing. The Samsung charging system is different from most other cell phone manufacturers. Yes, it's USB-C, but if you want fast charging, you'll have to use a recent Samsung charger. If you're okay with regular, slow overnight charging like I am, you can use anybody's charger with a USB-C connector. So, in conclusion, if you don't mind carrying around a heavy phone and you like the Samsung user interface, this phone should work well for you. If you want sleek, go for the Samsung S-series. If you want simple and sweet, go for a Moto or maybe a Google Pixel.
The A35 performance is good
