I bought this because my sleek, sweet, reliable Moto G6 was getting too old for some new versions of apps I needed. I also wanted 5G, which my Moto G6 didn't have, and a bright AMOLED screen. With this A35 I got the nice, bright screen and the 5G, but the A35 is so heavy! Every time I pick it up I am reminded that I didn't check the weight spec before I ordered it. I miss my sleek Moto G6. This A35 is also heavier than my spouse's Samsung S-something and heavier than my mother-in-law's Samsung phone. Well, that's my fault for not paying attention to the weight spec when I ordered this, right? I'm guessing the extra weight is due to a monster battery, so if you need battery life, maybe you don't mind the weight.Another thing I don't like about this phone is the Samsung One-UI. This user interface is so much "heavier" and "bulkier" than the simple user interface on my old Moto. It's like going from Windows 7 to Windows 11 in terms of lard. But if you're used to that Samsung interface, you'll take to this version of the Samsung One-UI pretty quickly.Oh, one more thing. The Samsung charging system is different from most other cell phone manufacturers. Yes, it's USB-C, but if you want fast charging, you'll have to use a recent Samsung charger. If you're okay with regular, slow overnight charging like I am, you can use anybody's charger with a USB-C connector. So, in conclusion, if you don't mind carrying around a heavy phone and you like the Samsung user interface, this phone should work well for you. If you want sleek, go for the Samsung S-series. If you want simple and sweet, go for a Moto or maybe a Google Pixel.
